1. ESTABLISHMENT :
   Legal Assistance Establishment (Nyaya Sanjog) is a multiple services-single point establishment for providing facilities for legal aid seekers under one roof and at a single location. It will be the first of its kind in the State of Odisha. Located in the office of Odisha State Legal Services Authority, Cantonment Road, Cuttack, and being manned by legal services Panel Advocates alongwith staff of the State Legal Services Authority and Para-Legal Volunteers it seeks to provide legal services to the legal aid seekers and beneficiaries more effectively. Legal Assistance Establishment (Nyaya Sanjog) can be approached through landline, SMS, e-mail and through personal visit.
2. Objective :
   The objective behind opening such establishment is to promote the concepts of ‘Access to Justice’ and ‘Justice at Door Step’. The establishment aims to address the grievance of legal services seekers and to update the legal services beneficiaries about their cases at one stop centre. With the introduction of Legal Assistance Establishment (Nyaya Sanjog), endeavour is being made to expand the horizon of Legal Services and facilitate Legal Aid seekers in solving their queries.
3. Functions :
   
   • • To provide quick information to the beneficiaries about their case status pending in any of the districts of the State and to disseminate information about various Schematic benefits of NALSA, OSLSA and
       Central/State Governments.
     • To render meaningful service to the people in need of legal assistance particularly, women, children, senior citizens, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe or Socially and Economically Backward Class persons
       and people in distress.
     • To make people aware of their rights and the benefits under different
       schemes introduced by the Central and State Government from time to time.
     • To help common people in mitigating their grievance with the
       Government offices, Authorities and other institutions.
     • To render assistance in spreading legal awareness amongst people.
     • Any other services which may be assigned by the State Legal Services
       Authority from time to time.
4. Service for Legal Aid Beneficiaries :
   The seekers and beneficiaries of legal aid may approach “Nyaya Sanjog” for the purposes of:
   • Seeking legal aid and advice
   • Getting information about the activities and schemes of NALSA/SLSA/
     DLSA/ TLSC.
   • Seeking help in availing benefits under different Government Schemes.
   • Knowing about the status of their case if any, pending in or disposed of
     by any courts.
   • Seeking legal service anywhere in Odisha.
5. Facilities :
   • Services of a legal aid lawyer to provide legal aid and advice.
   • Assistance of PLVs in filling forms for legal aid etc.
   • Dedicated e-mail I.D.
   • The dedicated Helpline no. 0671-2307432 shall be functional
     during the office hours. The queries beyond the official working hours may be sent through e-mails.
   • Video-conferencing through Skype provided in the Legal Assistance Establishment (Nyaya Sanjog) can be used by the litigants as well as by the OSLSA for proper response in respect
     of inquiry about any activity of respective DLSA.
   • Internet facility for linking with the website of Supreme Court, NALSA, and High Court of Orissa.
